    This Privacy Policy describes how Expense Tracker AI Budget App
    ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your
    privacy. The App is designed so that your financial data stays on your device.

  1. Information We Collect

    The App stores all financial data (transactions, budgets, recurring items, accounts) locally

    on your device. This data is never uploaded to our servers.

  

    If you sign in with Google, your name, email address, and profile photo are used solely to

    identify your account within the App. This information is managed by Authentication

    and is not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate services.

  2. Camera and Photo Library

    The App requests access to your camera and photo library to let you photograph receipts and

    bills for transaction entry. Images are processed locally on your device and are

   never stored on our servers or shared with third parties

 3. Microphone and Speech Recognition

    The App requests microphone access to enable voice-based prompts that will be sent to your device's speech recognition service (Google or on-device). We do not receive or store any audio recordings.

4. SMS Access (Android Only)

    On Android, the App requests the READ_SMS permission to detect and import

    financial transactions from bank/payment SMS messages. SMS content is

  processed entirely on-device  and is never transmitted to our servers.

    You explicitly review and confirm any transaction before it is imported.

    This permission is optional; the App functions fully without it.

5. AI Finance Assistant (Premium Feature)

    The AI chat feature sends your typed messages and a summary of your transaction data to

   Google Gemini APIin order to generate responses. No data is sent unless

    you actively open and use the AI assistant. We recommend you do not include sensitive personal

    information (e.g., full account numbers, passwords) in chat messages.
